When grief arrives physically — the tight chest, the shallow breathing — slowing your breath out actually helps. Four counts in, hold, four out, hold. Stop whenever you want.
If holding your breath feels uncomfortable, just breathe in and out with the circle and ignore the holds. If you feel light-headed at any point, stop and breathe normally.

People often ask about calming music and sleep audio. We would rather point you somewhere good than host a small library that goes stale — most people already have something better through a music service, a meditation app, or a public radio archive. What matters more is that you sleep at all; if you are not sleeping for weeks, that is worth mentioning to your doctor rather than solving with an app.
