Things worth knowing

How quickly do I get access?

Straight away. PayPal tells us the moment a payment clears, usually within a few seconds, and everything unlocks on its own.

You may need to refresh the page to see it. If PayPal sends you back here before the confirmation has reached us, the page will still show the old view until you reload it. Give it a moment, then refresh.

We also email you a receipt with links straight to your downloads, so nothing depends on you being on the right page at the right time.

Very occasionally a payment cannot be matched to an account automatically, usually because the email address on your PayPal is different from the one you signed up here with. When that happens we match it by hand, which takes hours rather than seconds. If it has been longer than that, email us: it means something has gone wrong, not that we have forgotten you.

Is this a subscription?

No. It's a one-off payment. There's nothing recurring, nothing to cancel, and no renewal.

Do I need to buy anything to use the memorial?

No. Creating a memorial, adding photos, writing a tribute, and lighting candles are all free and always will be. So are the community, the stories and Luna. These three are extras.

What if I change my mind?

Email us within 14 days and we'll refund you, no questions asked. If you've already used the feature, that's fine — we'd still rather you had your money back than felt stuck with something.

What happens to what I've written if I stop paying?

Nothing — there's nothing to stop paying. And if we ever refunded you, anything you'd already written would stay exactly where it is. We're not going to hide your memories of them behind a payment.

Where does the money go?

Hosting, the AI companion's running costs, and the time it takes to moderate this place properly. It's what keeps the free parts free.
