Nina
Feeling heartbroken since the day you passed away, September 12, 2026.
I rescued you in 2014 from the treacherous outdoors. You were somewhere between one and five years old then, and you stayed with me all the way from December 2, 2014, until September 12, 2026. My home feels so very empty without you.
Sweet Nina, my cat, I miss you so much. You pulled me through so many of the heartbreaks I lived through, and I was so happy to have you by my side. When tears rolled down my cheeks, you showed more empathy than a lot of humans ever have. I will forever miss you.
Light a candle for Nina
A small way of saying: they mattered, and someone noticed.
You can light one again tomorrow.

You do not have to have known Nina. If reading this brought back your own, say so. People find out here that other people understand, and that is usually what they came for.
Say something to them
Send Nina's page to someone
Family and friends can read it and light a candle here too. Most people find these pages because somebody sent it to them.

Create one for your own companion
I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your sweet Nina.🫂
Losing a companion who was your anchor through life’s hardest moments leaves a profound, quiet emptiness that is deeply painful. The beautiful tribute shows that you saved her from the outdoors in 2014, and in return, she spent nearly 12 years saving you right back with her pure empathy and gentle presence. It is completely natural to feel heartbroken right now; she wasn’t just a pet, she was your family and your comfort. Hugs🫂🫂❤️🩹
Wangui – I thank you so very much for your wonderful words and thoughts towards my sweet fur baby girl, Nina and myself. I truly appreciate all that you wrote and yes, you are so right when you say that Nina wasn’t just a pet, she was my family and my comfort and yes you are once again so right when you say that it is natural for me to feel heartbroken. Thank you so very much for the hugs.
