Otis Levi

Dog · 2022 – Jul 2026
"You were my heart dog....a gentle giant with a big head but an even bigger heart!!"

He was rescued from a very bad situation and came to live with me. He was afraid of everything…sudden movements, strange noises and especially, sound of gunshots and fireworks. The former “owner” used to go out in his back, and and shoot his firearms close to the dogs house. He was chained to a tree and when that person went on the road truckin’, he and his siblings and mother were often left without food and water. When I knew this person was out of town, I used to jump his fence and make sure the dogs had plenty of food and water. The dog broke loose from the chain several times and ended up at my son’s house every single time. The last time he escaped from this person, he was running the neighborhood for over 6 months. My son called me and told me to come get him before he got hit by a car. Needless to say, I’m a suckered for any needy animal so I ran to Levi’s rescue!!

Driving home with Levi, I made him the promise that he would never be hungry again!! He would never be afraid again!! And he would always….ALWAYS be loved!!
He would have the life he needed and always deserved. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You can light one again tomorrow.

Family and friends can read it and light a candle here too. Most people find these pages because somebody sent it to them.

Moments with Otis Levi

August 2026

Infinite Praise

Every single night, I would crawl up into the chair where he slept and praise Levi. I would gently caress his big head with my hands and tell him what a good boy he was and how much I loved him. He would always roll over a little so that I could scratch his belly and chest. He ate the special attention up and would always let out a big ole sigh as I would stroke him. Lord help, how I miss those days so much❤️❤️

Always Ready To Go

When I first got him, he was scared to death to ride in the car. Over time, when I would leave the house, he was always ready "TO GO" He didn't care if we were going somewhere or just around the block, he just wanted TO GO. if you said RIDE OR GO...there he was waiting for you to put the leash on him. He would get so excited and start talking to you and whining because he knew he would be with me. Dear God, how I miss those days sooooo much!!!💔❤️💔❤️💔
